the loss of a loved one. Here the artist, in addition to expressing his
own sadness, empathizes with everyone who has lost a loved one or
something important. It serves as motivation to passionately pursue one’s
dreams and never forget the positive and negative lessons in life. The
artist created this painting while grieving the loss of his mother to
cancer, which moved him to adopt a renewed passion for living a fruitful
