The artist created this
painting in memory of his mother Ada who passed away after a short
battle with breast cancer. A breast cancer pink ribbon is intertwined
within the fabric of the painting to raise awareness of the fight against
breast cancer. This painting was developed using a technique the artist
likes to call “Mosaic Impressionism”. This technique allows for the
painting to look as a modern abstract painting when viewed up-close;
however, when viewed from a distance or by squinting one’s eyes, a hidden
image of his mother appears. |
