It is amazing that
something that seemed virtually impossible only a hundred years ago, can
be such a normal thing for us today. The world shrinks in front of our
eyes as we bring countries together and reunite families by the miracle of
flight. But what keeps that heavy machine suspended in midair, with
hundreds of life inside? While growing up, to the artist it was as simple
as visualizing the hand of God guiding the plane through a safe journey.
This simple visualization was the product of the artist’s mother Ada, who would say a prayer with the artist and his siblings before any
flight, asking that God would take the plane in his caring hands and
deliver it safely to its destination. |
