This Mosaic
Impressionism painting is a tribute to the genius that was Leonardo
daVinci. The Vitruvian Man, which is one of the most recognized drawings
from the Renaissance, was part of Leonardo’s studies of the human body and
its proportions. In the foreground there is a pointing hand, which belongs
to a group of studies for his controversial painting “Madonna on the
Rocks”. Symbolic of retrospectively looking at daVinci’s career, when you
look at this painting from a distance or by squinting your eyes, you can
distinguish the silhouette of Leonardo’s masterpiece “The Mona Lisa”.
